Social or relational competencies

Somehow it would be reasonable to lump relational and personal competencies together, and yet…

The focus here is on the ability to be part of, establish or develop relationships, teams and groups.

It is also about listening and understanding within a group – and establishing the essence of the group through dialogue.

Skills such as the following play an important role here:

  • The ability to show empathy
  • The ability to listen – and to demonstrate active listening
  • The ability to distinguish between the issue and the person
  • The ability to both win confidence and show confidence
